Workshop Title: Are You ExperiencED?
Presented by: The Association for Experiential Education
Thursday, March 29 from 9am-12pm
Have you asked yourself lately, “Why do we utilize group games and problem-solving initiatives? How are these activities relevant to the 'big picture?' How do our tools, our activities, and our own experiences, help us to meet the goals of our clients, students, programs, schools and agencies? How does experiential education contribute to making the world a better place?” If these are questions you want to explore, come join the Association for Experiential Education for a morning of experiential and reflective activities designed for personal and professional growth and development in all fields of practice. Together, we will rediscover the relevance of experiential education and we will intentionally create, share and interpret learning experiences to transform the work that we do and create a more connected and just world.
Through this workshop, participants will develop:
A value-based rationale for utilizing experiential education in a variety of practice settings;
- Skills to be a reflective and intentional experiential educator;
- Facilitation skills to bring people together and create community;
- Knowledge of the mission and vision of the Association for Experiential Education;
- A feeling of connection to the larger experiential education community nationally and internationally.
In short, you will leave feeling experiencED! We hope you will join us!
